Amrita TV Offers a Hand of Support to Transform Withered Lives

Kathayalla Ithu Jeevitam has a much bigger social responsibility than simply reconciling families or solving their disputes. Its ambition is also to generate sympathy for the ones in need and lend a hand of support.

"Kathayalla Ithu Jeevitham"---which actually translates into, ‘Not a Story, But Raw Life’ has a framework wherein socio-legal bodies, NGOs etc join hands with Amrita TV to transform lives full of  hatred and suspicion into a future of mutual trust and faith.

Ganesh Kumar handed over a ‘Gift of Hope’

In a special episode on 24 June, 2011, Minister for Forests & Environment, Sports and Cinema, K B Ganesh Kumar handed over a ‘Gift of Hope’ to Prajusha and Dhanya.

Prajusha was a deaf & dumb. Her marriage was less of a relief to her as she had had bitter experiences with her in-laws. To help her to survive on her own, a sum amounting to more than a lakh was congregated.

Dhanya’s husband Ripper Surendran was under legal confinement. In her husband’s absence, she was being haunted by those trying to take advantage of her. To help her acquire a home of her own, her sympathizers for the second time through Amrita TV were giving her financial assistance, this time it was around Rs. 33,000.

Join Hands And Support
As a CSR initiative, Amrita TV invites Companies to come forward as a Philanthropy Partner and sponsor Rs 5000 per case, as PRATHYASA NIDHI or Gift of Hope for every case that is settled during the course of the program.
