There was a time when certain stories were only heard of in a film script and were clearly differential from raw life. Now, real life has turned synonymous to reel life. With each upcoming new case, Kathayalla Ithu Jeevitham is coming face-to-face with this realization.
The latest case in Kathayalla Ithu Jeevitham is an appeal by Prema from Eranakulam. The mother and her son were here in our TV court-room and there was no heart in the set which didn’t melt on seeing the innocent son cry.
Mohanan married Prema in 1992. The marriage happened with a partial consent. Prema wasn’t willing for it, neither did her family approve of it. Who would happily accept to become a second wife? Yes, Mohanan was already married to Ayesha. But the relation couldn’t lead him to fatherhood. That’s how he started persuading Prema and became a headache for her at her work place and wherever she went. When all these couldn’t alter her decision, Mohanan came up with a threat to end his life. At this, the scared Prema had to bow. Thus the marriage took place without Prema’s family’s participation or approval.
Mohanan lived with his two wives Ayesha and Prema. Mohanan, who was working abroad, took his both wives along. The beginning went smooth between both wives. Problems started when Prema and Mohanan’s rapport began building up and they tended to get intimate. For Ayesha it was tough to tolerate and quarrels began. When finally Prema gave birth to Mohanan’s child, Ayesha’s jealousy reached its peak and she even asked Prema to handover the child and leave. |
