Case Summary
1999 – Preetha and Shibu got married. Six years later, Shibu went missing. He had left his wife and two children to live on with Sandhya, the one he had loved before being married. After running disappointed with police cases and court's lagging procedures, Preetha approached Kathayalla Ithu Jeevitham seeking help.
Preetha's Version
In the beginning years of their marriage, Shibu told Preetha about his earlier affair. But he also added that it was a past story and he will never go after it again. Believing his words, Preetha continued her loyal life with him. The words of assurance and loyalty that Shibu gave her were all fake. He was still continuing the love affair. Shibu's aunt's sister, Sandhya is his pre-marital affair and the two were still meeting after Shibu's marriage. Sandhya lived very close to Shibu's home and the same facilitated their frequent meeting. Having doubts over Shibu's ways and fearing that the nearness might nurture the illegal bonding even further, Preetha requested her husband to shift to some other house. Shibu agreed to this very reluctantly with a delayed shifting. But the lovers continued to meet.
Preetha and Shibu have two children. Shibu last exited home for buying medicines for the younger child and never returned. That was in 2005. Six years have passed to that incident.
Preetha now stays with her parents. She is working in a private firm with less than sufficient financial backing to serve her family.
